Welcome to the healing power of nature! As a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Fiddlehead Grove offers an abundance of plants, animals, and trees in their native habitat. W oodland trails provide ample terrain and scenery for hiking, bird-watching, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. New in 2013 are interpretive signs for many unique flora, including Pink Lady's Slipper, Horse Nettle, Carrion Vine, Boneset, Bristly Sarsaparilla, Joe Pye Weed, Milkweed, Jewelweed, Mullein, and Purple Trillium. Learn which ones are medicinal  or edible!

Fiddlehead Grove is home to many animal friends, like Porcupine, Deer, Groundhog, Moles, Beaver, Squirrel, Chipmunk, Ermine, Wild Turkey, Rabbit, Green Frog, Painted Turtle, Tree Frog and of course Mice and Snakes.

You may spot the elusive Pileated Woodpecker, Great Blue Heron or Barred Owl on your journey or enjoy the songs of Robin, Veerie, Evening Grosbeak, or Scalet Tanager. Tree Swallows, Hummingbirds, and Northern Pewees can be seen buliding nests and gathering food for their young. Dragonflies and Damselflies of all colors dance among the fountains. Chickadees and Goldfinches take turns at the feeding stations.

Fiddleheads of thousands of ferns are a sight to see in May!
Be sure and visit Rhiannon the "Great Queen", our resident old growth pine.
